Dr Hu was invited to be a main podium speaker for 2019 Annual Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA) in Phoenix, Arizona, April 12-13. His topic was on bringing 3-D analysis and multi-dimensional assessments on airway from A-P, Vertical, Lateral, Pitch, Roll, and Yaw planes and to review all current bite registration methods being used for oral appliance therapy in dental sleep medicine. Dr Hu, also being certified to do osseo growth appliance systems from VIVOS to AGGA and Controlled Arch, he was able to lecture on those treatment options-- especially for children with airway problems.

Dr. Hu was a main podium speaker at 2019 Annual Session of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA). His lecture was on utilizing 3-D methods, equipment, and technology to better oral appliance therapy for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. 2019, February, Anchorage, Alaska. Dr. Hu was asked by Alaska Dental Society and Henry Schein to teach Alaskan dentists a comprehensive course on dental sleep medicine. The seminar was so well received, he is asked to do more from the organizations. 2019, February, Dr. Hu became certified with Dr Steve Gallela's AGGA and Controlled Arch system for osseo-growth guidance system. He also will be working with Facial Beauty Institute and will help patients, especially pediatric/ children in having more options for treatment. 2018, October 4-6, Dr. Hu was asked to be a main podium speaker at the Breathing Wellness Conference, New York City, Times Square Marriott Marquis, and there were over 250 attendees in the audience hear him lecture on Pediatric airway and the VIVOS system. It was a very successful event for dental sleep Medicine. 2018, Entire year, Dr. Hu has been instructor/ speaker for Sleep Group Solutions in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose, Troy (MI), and Las Vegas 2018, May, Dr. Hu has received his 3rd Board Certification in dental sleep medicine as a new Diplomate for the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines (D-ACSDD). He will be attending the Fall Annual Session in Scottsdale, AZ. 2018, Dr. Hu's clnical research in dental sleep medicine has been approved for publication in the peer reviewed Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine (JDSM) of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Hu's other study on tooth stability with OAT using control cured PMMA has also been approved and published in the Journal of Dental Sleep Practice (JSP). 2018, Dr. Hu has been asked to teach a Continuum in Cosmetic Dentistry/Aesthetic reconstruction at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry, spanning 4 months in the summer of 2018. 2018, Dr. Hu has been invited by World Federation FDI to speak at global meeting in Hong Kong (August) and Asia Meeting in Malaysia (July). 2018, Dr. Hu will be teaching a Webinar in treatment planning on AEGIS/Compendium 2018, DR. Hu continues to teach for Sleep Group Solutions; he will be teaching in California February and March. In November 2017, Dr. Hu has again received award for Northwest MacStudio Model Search Winner for his smile makeover work on Sheila F. from Juneau, Alaska. Congrats again on another repeat! In October of 2017, Dr. Hu will be a Fellow of IAPA (International Association for Physiologic Aesthetics), awarded in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Hu also won 1st place in the Aesthetic Eye Competition sponsored by Kettenbach, which also includes products and supplies from Kettenbach! In September 2017, Dr. Hu has been invited back to lecture and speak at the 4th Annual Alaska Sleep Conference at Hotel Captain Cook. He will speak about airway and dental sports medicine. In 2017, the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA) notified Dr. Hu he has passed all the credentialing requirements to earn Diplomate Board Certified status with ASBA. This makes him double board certified, the FIRST, and one with the longest history of being a full time double board certified dentist in Alaska in dental sleep medicine. In April 2017, Dr. Hu was an invited speaker for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Annual Scientific Session in Las Vegas, NV at Venetian Hotel/Resort. He lectured with Karsten Klimmeck A-AACD, LVIF, MDT, and with Dr. Hakim, DDS. Karsten also was accredited by AACD at this conference using only Dr. Hu's cases for all of his submissions. In 2017, Dr. Hu has been asked to become an instructor for Sleep Group Solutions, one of the leading camps for dentists' continuing education. On Feb 10, 2017, Dr. Hu achieved Board Certification in Dental Sleep Medicine, attaining, Diplomate of American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. In Feb. 2017, Dr Hu became Certified with Pediatric Epigenetics and Vivos Pediatric Appliance System In Spring 2016, Dr. Hu's clinical research publication was completed in the peer reviewed journal, JCD, Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, AACD. The research was using digital Shadewave/Microshade Technology for accurate shade match precision dentistry. In 2016, Dr. Hu was invited to speak at the 3rd Annual Alaska Sleep Conference, Hotel Captain Cook, Anchorage, AK. He was the only dentist from Alaska invited to lecture to Sleep Physicians, ENT's, Pulmnologists, Neurologists, etc. on dental sleep medicine. He was able to educate health practitioners on craniofacial epigenetics and pneumopedics developed by Dr. David Singh, and also Neuromuscular, Pharyngometer, Zephr MatRx, and Classic George Gauge modalities for oral appliances. In 2016, Dr. Hu won the Nationwide MACStudio Model Search Grand Prize for the 2nd time! He is the only dentist in North America to have achieved that! He flew down to San Francisco again with the winning Model, Laura, in February of 2016. In 2016, Dr. Hu has been an invited Speaker/ Lecturer at the MicrO2 Users Conference In Austin Texas, as well as the 3rd Annual Alaska Sleep Conference in Anchorage, Alaska. Dr. Hu is published author and clinical researcher for MicrO2. In 2016, he passed the written exam for Board accreditation with ABDSM and is on the way to becoming a Diplomate with American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. In 2016, Dr. Hu has become certified for DNA appliance, using Craniofacial epigenetics and pneumopedics principles. In 2015, Dr. Hu was accredited with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for successfully completing written, oral, and case submissions process for his Associate Fellow. In 2015, Dr. Hu was awarded level of "Elite" dentist by MacStudios. In 2014, Dr. Hu earned his IPS Mastership with International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In 2013, Dr. Hu was invited back to MAC Expeditions to teach dentists on Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Sleep Medicine. He also published more research in 2013. In 2012, Alaska's very own Dr. Hu won the Nationwide 2012 MAC Model Search Grand Prize Winner! The 2012 Panel included celebrity judges, and as the winner, Dr. Hu and his winning patient, Angie, will be flown down to San Francisco in January, 2013 for a Professional photo Shoot. At the AACD 2017 Scientific Session, Dr. Hu had the pleasure and honor of meeting and having lunch with Godfrey Ngai, Global CEO of Modern Dental, which acquired Microdental and MACStudio and all of its network labs throughout North America. This makes Modern the biggest dental company worldwide with centers all over Europe, Asia, and Australia. The latest lab they are building will employ over 6000 technicians in one complex setting, in Asia. Dr. Hu has been invited to Beijing and is thrilled about his future with this amazing company. He will also be invited to speak at International events and involvement at World Federation FDI organization.
